Algorithms and Engineering Analysis
Algorithms
Many of our R&D and product development programs involve the creation of custom algorithms to produce results in optics, fluid management, image processing, and on-product analysis of data. Specifically, we:
- Develop algorithms in ophthalmology for analyzing tear film thickness, retinal movement, and optical imaging.
- Develop algorithms for fluid detection and warnings in wearable medical devices.
- Develop algorithms to analyze blood flow velocity.
- Develop control algorithms for audiology.
- Develop control algorithms for thermal profiles.
You can see the results of these algorithms in the images below.
Engineering Analysis
We use engineering analysis to ensure that our designs will perform as intended. This can involve investigating heat transfer characteristics, optical performance, structural behavior of materials, or non-linear behavior of flexible components. We have extensive experience with finite element analysis (FEA) – mechanical and thermal, ray tracing, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
